Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

1. Service Agreement

By engaging Richard Auto Repair for automotive diagnostic services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

• All work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner
• We will use quality parts and materials for all services
• Diagnostic fees are due upon completion of diagnostic work
• Repair work requires written authorization from the customer
• We will provide accurate estimates when possible

2. Diagnostic Services

Our diagnostic services include:

• Complete system analysis using professional diagnostic equipment
• Detailed written reports of findings and recommendations
• No diagnostic fee if you authorize repairs with us
• 48-hour warranty on diagnostic findings

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made:

• Cash, check, and major credit cards accepted
• Diagnostic fees must be paid before vehicle release
• We offer payment plans for major repairs (with approval)
• Any balance over 30 days may incur a service charge

4. Warranty Policy

We stand behind our work with the following warranties:

• Diagnostic Work: 48 hours on findings and recommendations
• Parts: Manufacturer warranty or 12 months, whichever is longer
• Labor: 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first
• Warranty voided: If repairs are tampered with or neglected

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate vehicle information and symptoms
• Removing personal belongings from vehicles
• Authorizing work in writing before repairs begin
• Maintaining recommended maintenance schedules
• Notifying us immediately if problems persist

6. Vehicle Storage and Pickup

Vehicles left for service:

• Must be picked up within 7 days of completion notice
• Storage fees may apply after 30 days ($25/day)
• We are not responsible for items left in vehicles
• Vehicles may be towed at owner's expense after 60 days

7. Limitation of Liability

Richard Auto Repair's liability is limited to:

• The cost of repair or replacement of defective parts or services
• Not liable for consequential damages or loss of use
• Insurance coverage for customer vehicles while in our care
• We maintain comprehensive liability insurance

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through:

• Direct communication with management
• Professional mediation if necessary
• Bound by Louisiana state law and jurisdiction
